The skills and techniques transmitted in this practice are universal and this is a lifetime journey.
People are taking this course for a range of reasons, for example, to connect back into their cultural roots, to enhance their own consciousness practice and simply because they feel a full-body yes.

The word broken up indicates Ro ~ internal and Mi ~ to stimulate.
Kind Words from Ako Torowhānui Participants
Renee Harata
A big thank you for all that you created for us in wānanga.
Some reflection & gratitude.
The way you created and weaved with us was truly a remembering & so integrative. I felt so held, not only as a student but as a WOMAN who was reminded how much value we all brought into this space.
You teach so beautifully & because of that, although my head space wasn’t the most clear, I feel that energetically through my body, a lot of wisdom had been received and stored and for what you so lovingly provided
Kyla Hatsell-Pasene
The space that was created at made me feel safe and open. I knew I could be however I needed to be. And when you can allow yourself to surrender in to that, you can start to heal decades of upsets and trauma.
Learning to trust my intuition and owning my truth is nourishing for the soul and the positive changes manifest into reality.
Jarna Saunders
I feel really lucky to have joined this training.
RomiRomi has taken me on a journey so far inside myself, to bring me home to myself again.
I’m so grateful for the teachings and the way you are sharing them with the world, we need your strength.
Sarmantha Coffey
Ako Torowhānui has really helped me to evolve in every area in my life.
To understand myself more. To connect more to my culture, it feels like a huge missing link in my life.
The gift of RomiRomi is definitely a part of me and learning this practice has brought me deeper into my knowing and purpose and how I can better show up for myself, the world and the people who desire and need this.

Jaime Mackie
The training experience has been a pivotal part of my spiritual journey. Feeling safe and how to protect my energy and wanting to practice healing in this modality.
The experience gave me confidence on all levels of what I can do for others, it is undeniable when you feel it with all your sense.

Kirsti Ladner
Oh my heart!! Romi-Romi and Miri-Miri pressure point healing haha! It’s not for the faint hearted I can tell you that!
But oh so so honoured to be embraced and taught by Gabrielle Walker and all the other amazing people in this intake. Such a soulful group. Thank you for all the knowledge sharing and stories of your beautiful culture and translating all these new words for me.

Sudevi Walker
I am totally blown away by the transformation that has occurred for myself. I’ve also come a long way with my treatments, I see healing so much more than being on the table. The art of expressing and communicating how and what we are feeling within and doing it in a safe space where you don’t feel judged. That in it self is a real cleanse.Looking forward to this new chapter, Much love.

Marissa Stewart-Cook
I only ever dreamed a time as this.
I am so incredibly grateful to have landed in a community and space that accepts you as you are, allows you to learn and find your own unique abilities…
Never did I ever truly believe I would be holding space for healing, yet here I am answering the call. When I tell you the universe lands you in places you are meant to be I truly mean it! Your mind is powerful beyond measure and what a life it can create when you allow it space to be curious and your self to trust… This experience was incredible and a step forward in reclaiming my culture through practice of Mirimiri & Romi romi. Let this be a reminder you are enough always, as you are! I will forever be a student of life, open to learning, growing and changing every step of the way.
About your Kaiarahi ~ Trainers

Gabrielle Walker
Gabrielle Mary Rangihoea Walker is a Māori woman from Ngāti Kahungungu and Ngāti Rongomaiwahine, with English, Scottish and German descent. As a Romiromi Healing Artist and Mana Empowerment Coach, she draws on traditional Māori teachings and philosophies while weaving emerging insights that arise through practice in this contemporary time.
This healing practice emerges from many pathways. The work Gabrielle shares has been handed down through teachers, wairua and whakapapa, refined through years of practice with clients, and continues to evolve through the living energy of the work itself.

Tania Edmonds-Tairea
Ko Tania Edmonds-Tairea toku ingoa, though many know me as Tanz. I was born in Murihiku in the southernmost city of Waihopai-Invercargill in Aotearoa New Zealand, where my connection to my whānau, whenua and tūpuna remains strong.
I now live and work in Busselton in Western Australia, where I honour the Wadandi people as the traditional custodians of this whenua. My work weaves together clinical knowledge and spiritual essence, creating supportive spaces for people to reconnect with their inner wisdom while honouring the sacredness of each person’s journey.
By nature I move between many worlds, weaving intuition, lived experience, ancestral wisdom and healing practice through the many roles I carry within my mahi.

Aunty Katerina Ihaia
Ko Whaea Katerina taku ingoa. I am a healer, storyteller and kaitiaki of wairua-led wellbeing. My mahi weaves together the worlds of science and spirit, honouring the body as a landscape of memory, emotion and ancestral wisdom.
Through Lomi Lomi, Romiromi and the wānanga-inspired modalities I am developing, I guide others back to clarity, peace and their sacred sense of self. I carry the strength of my Tainui and Ngāpuhi whakapapa and my path has been shaped through training in Hawai‘i and Australia.
I feel deeply called to support wāhine through teaching and facilitating wānanga, creating safe spaces where women can remember their truth and stand in their mana. My purpose is simple ~ to help others come home to themselves.
