Ep. 2. “What is Romiromi?” Kōrero Mirimiri with Jaime Mackie

“Romiromi, it’s a co-creation. We’re not handing ourselves over to a healer to be healed”

With Jaime Mackie, Romiromi & Mirimiri practitioner, Ako Torowhānui Kaiarahi ~ guide, co-business owner of The Tribe STM

This episode opens up our shared understanding about the practices of Romiromi & Mirimiri.

Together, we reflect and speak to the deeply experiential nature of this work. We share about listening to the wisdom of the body, the co-creative relationship between practitioner and receiver. There are many ways healing can unfold through pressure, breath, presence, and wairua.

Rather than offering a simple definition, this conversation opens a doorway into the living nature of Romiromi ~ a practice that meets each person differently and continues to reveal itself over time.

We are both Māori Healing Practitioners sharing this practice from Aotearoa ~ New Zealand on Noongar Boodjar in Boorlo, Perth, Western Australia ♡

You’ll be hearing a lot of Jaime on the podcast as we share our hearts & experiences.
